Hello, I glad to find such a great site. I have been keeping saltwater most of my life. I just bought a new house and lost about 7,000$ worth of corals and fish during the move. I now think that I need to find a cheaper hobby. I have always like Japaness style planted tanks. I still have a 220g reef and a 30g nano. The tank I want to turn to planted is 144g half moon. I want a simple set up. I have a Current Outer Obit lighting system, (2) 250 watt HQI metal halides with 4 36watt T5 lights and moon lights. Can I use this? I also have a (2) 150w HQI setup, and a (2)175 watt single ended setup. Which would be best. I have lots of PC setups also. I have seen pics with MH so Im shure you can use them. I have done a lot of research but have found a thousand different ways. I just got marride so I would like an easy beginer set up. I look foward to chating with everyone. I will get tank pics up in a few.
