Hi Im new to this forum but have lots of fishkeeping experience. Id like to join cos sometimes theres stuff you need to know now. Like for instance yesterday my plec had bloat and I didnt know why. Anyone ever had this happen? I think hed just gorged himself on pellets meant for my loaches but when I tested my water it also had ammonia and nitrite

What type of Pleco? What size tank and what fish have you got?
What were your exact readings for ammonia, nitrite, nitrate and PH?

My plec is a Queen Arabesque. My tank is 48 x 15 x 15 and my Ammonia 0.25(I think, it is one above what it should be on the API chart) nitrite 1.0 (I think) nitrate 25 pH 6.8.

Oh and I have two breeding pairs of Angels, tetras, clown loach, rainbows, nannochromis, rams, corys and shrimp a gold nugget and an ancistrus
