New To Fish

Hi I brought my Juwel Rekord 80 tank about a week ago, and put 3x Green Tiger Barbs and 2x Drawf Gouramis in. They were fine at first and swimming about happily together, and now they seem to want to hide under the plants or rocks anytime i put the light on? why is that? Also It says that Green Tiger Barbs should be kept in groups of 6 or more but I onky have three and now they dont swim together and occasionally chase eachother, are they stressed because they don't have enough of them? ALso I dont really get the whole thing about Nitrates or water changes. Has anyone got a link for a really simple explanation for complete noobs like me lol. THanks,

Hey dude , Im a total noob so not in a position to answer your questions, but if you search the forums using cycling as your keyword a whole plethora of info turns up on water chemistry

cool thanks i found some usefull stuff just after I posted lol. Yeah the forums are great and I'd think i would like to really get into fishkeeping
