hey,

i am fairly new to fresh water tropical fish keeping. and i have bought many tropical fish over the last 2 months and ive decided to ask everyone on their opinions and advice for me. i have a 22L tank with heaters, thermometers, filters and the sunlight colour light globe. i used to have 7 neon tetras, 8 white cloud tetras, and two white skirted tetras. being all tetras i thought that they would be o.k. together as did the man at the aquaruim. after having the smaller fish for 2 weeks they started disappearing, one morning i woke to find one of my live neons was in the skirted tetras mouth, i now have both the skirted, 3 neons and 1 white cloud left, ive replaced them constantly for the last 2 months, beacuse theyve all been eaten by the skirted tetras.... is this normal, are these fish not good together? i dont know what to do!! help!!

that tank is too small for all those fish. that tank is obly big enough for a betta and shrimp or micro rasboras. i would take your fish back as they are too big for the tank. also i dont know alot about skirted tetras but if they are attacking the other fish i would segest takng them back to the shop and eling the shpo you want a refund for giving you false information. i would take all the fish backk and tell them you want a refund for false info and either get a male betta or maybe some micro rasboras instead.

:hi: to tff firstly :)
if your finding problems with some of your fish the best thing i can say is stop replaceing them if they are been eaten until you have either rehomed the offenders (taken them back to the shop)
or until you find fish they will not eat
i dont know much about tetras so cant give you precise advice just an idea of what to do if you like neons id replace the skirts hope that helps till someone more knoweledgeable on the forum can help
regards scot :)

you may get away with 6 neons if you keep your water chages up. but i would re home the skirts nd also the WCMM as it needs a 2 foot long tank to live in as these are fast swimmers. but too be honest i would replace the neons aswell and go for endlers, micro rasboras or ember tetras.
