I have been reading loads upon breeding siamese fighters, I have read all the information on here as well,
I bought a male and female yesterday, and they are now living together in a 2ft tank by 1ft high, it is well planted.

Over night the male has made a small bubble nest, and this morning the female is up against the filter (like out of breath) and the male is just slowly moving around as they normally do, but not near her or his nest, I cant see no eggs but then again I am not sure what I am lookiong for, is my female betta ok? what will I be waiting for next?

THANX

Not an expert on breeding never done it. but think you should have conditioned them first.

If it was me I would take the female out quickly and wait until someone advises you what to do.

:good:

Ok you say you read up on breeding so why are the pair in the tank together already? You need to condition them for at least 2 weeks with good protein rich foods.

So lets take care of your fish for now. You need to remove the female unconditioned she will not be up to being chased around by the male and the stress could kill her. Plus if you only got them yesterday they will be stressed from the move and being put into different water etc. If you have no separate tank to put her in then a breeding trap or a tupperware bowl or container floated in the tank to keep the water warm will do for now.

Please, please re-read all the breeding info before you attempt to breed them again and then if you can't find the info you want ask someone on here.

Hope your girl perks up soon :good:

 told you someone would pop along to help you.

You really need to listen to them I bough a fish from Joby through the post and she knows what she is doing. Good Luck!

I was going to seperate them, so they could only see each other, but when I was purchasing them the lady said they can go straight together :/ .

The female is now back in the main tank, and the male is on his own in the breeding tank, how long should I give it before she is to go back in with him. And anything else you can advise me.

I know for a fact they take at least 2 weeks before they settle in. Theres no rush you dont want to stress the little darlings...leave them to settle in. :good:
