New Tiger Oscar!

Well today is day two and he is kind of being a flirty little butterfly with me. When I come to check on him, he is against the back wall, but high up, showing his full colors...then the MINUTE he spots me, it's a slow fade on his colors down the middle like they do, and an even slower descent to the bottom of the tank. He then lays over on his side and looks up at me mournfully. I did spot some poo last night, I think, but it was whiteish and kind of feathery, not compact like all my other fishes poop.I don't know if this is normal for oscars or not. He also has the faintest edging of white around his well I don't know the exact name but his back main swimming fin. I put my not-so-dwarf=gourami in there with him, and he has responded well, that has spurred the back wall climbing. I am rubbish at uploading pics, have to wait for the hubbs to do it, he is away on business till tomorrow.

And to answer your question walker, I did a near 100% change right before I got him two days ago. I plan on 50% a week till the new cannister arrives.

personally i would do at least 20% per day untill at least the new filter arrives

Ok..I can do that...Do you think it will increase his sulking? I can do it pretty unobtrusively as I have gotten good at water changes here recently due to my nano reef.

So is small, frequent water changes the ticket with oscars,then?
