Okay. I wasn't planning on buying new tanks but anyone would have done what I did in this situation... I found a man selling a 55 Gallon tank fully loaded. Great condition, no cracks, leakes, scratches, & clean. I got it with a full fluorecsent lighting hood, stand, python, 2 air pumps, 2 Marineland Penguin BIO-Wheel 330 Power Filters, 2 full boxes of filter media, chemicals/food/supplies, and a hooded 15 gallon tank in the same condition... All for $52!

I have over 60 lbs. of black gravel, 25 lbs. of white gravel, 20 lbs. of purple gravel, and 10 lbs. of midnight blue colored gravel laying around...

I really hit up a bargain, and I am glad I did it...

I dont know what to put in any of these two tanks, and want to get some cool suggestions, preferably not livebearers... I am wanting to breed bettas in the 15 Gallon. As for the 55 I really want some nice ideas and I am most likely going with sand as my substrate...

Please help me decide...

I see you're going with a planted 55, I would suggest a Tanganyikan tank with some multifasciatus, some lamprologus brevis, some altolamprologus calvus, maybe a few cyprochomis leptosomas, and some tanganyikan catfish like polii or multipunctatus. makes for a SWEET setup with topwater, midrange predator, and shell dwelling species, and looks REAL nice with live plants and some texas holey rock. I got a buddy here in Ohio that breeds most of the fish I just listed, and I'm getting ready to set them up a 120 gallon and go full biotope. Nothing in the tank that you couldn't fine in Lake Tanganyika(minus heaters n filters :D )

I also must say that other than my wife's family, you are the first Barnhart I've seen, so hello, and I won't call you barnfart, as I'm sure you heard as much as she did hehe :D
