After posting a topic on gettin new fish i now want another tank.
i was just wondering if i should go for the biggest i can fit in or not.
I think i no the answer (yes) but was wondering if there was any down sides to owning a large tank.
Thanks

i say go for the biggest you can get, the only downside imo would be more water (if your paying for it)

If you are going for something really large, make sure your floor can support it. Deep tanks can be a pain trying to work on the bottom.

Maybe it's just me, but no matter how big a tank you get, soon you are looking at something bigger.

Just make sure that you can reach to the bottom of your tank to clean it. I found out the hard way when I got my last tank - I have to stand on a step ladder and I'm half in the tank to plant stuff at the back! Stooopid!

well there are some tools you can use to move around and clean stuff at the bottom, kind of like those "arms" for kids, but yes I guess that would be a problem.

get the biggest tank you can afford and accomodate, that is the only thing i would do different when i started. if you start with a small tank you will want a bigger one in a month. bigger is also easier to maintain i think
