just bought a rio 240 .....very nice and makes my rekord 96 look like a goldfish bowl, :D i set it up last night and would like to know what i can do for cloudy water ? and any other new tank set up ideas  please!! how log till i can put my fish in , and air stones ????? what size and pump plants i would like amost instant ground cover!! and backgrounds , i have one of those structured sponge ones in the other tank and although it looks gorgeous its hard to clean and is a pain in the ass when it comes to alge. :(

My fish tank was very cloudy when we first got it, after it had cycled and i was doing water changes it was fine

a fish less cycle is best, and i would leave it 4 weeks for the tank to establish

Read up in the 'cycling' thread somewhere on the board

thanks for that , was thinking about swapping one of my old sponges over or washing it in the same water hoping some of the bacteria will transfare? some one told me i could do that and use the sand and some of the water too i wasnt sure .I will take out what plants i have in the other tank all 3  not many i know i want to use rocks etc for an interesting background any recomendations to which type i should use? slate? granit......could i use coral?oh forgot to add how many fish can this tank take? i have now
