New tank

got 2 red wagtailed platy's & 6 Rasbora Harlequins for our 10 gallon tank! B) Probably be switching fish between tanks at some point depending on how big they get but atm the tank looks great & hopefully it isnt too full to be a problem during the rest of the cycling process

Good shaped tank My m8 has got a similar size in height but a hex tank. Problem is cos its a hex, the front pane is small. So it doesnt look right. But your front pane is wider. Very nice

sounds interesting.....what made you think a blacklight will look good? got any pics of tanks with blacklights in them?

beautiful tank guys. i would advise against black light. it will do nothing beneficial for the tank.

A cousin of mine had a 50 gal tank a few years back with both regular flourescent lighting, as well as another lightstrip with a blacklight bulb in it. He would switch over to the blacklight for a couple hours before lights out and we would kick back and marvel at the colors on his guppies and neons. If I'm not mistaken his catfish used to come out under the blacklight as well and cruise around looking for food (can't recall what type of cat it was as the old memory isn't what it used to be ). Looking at the Budmaster Avitar sparked my memory I may go buy an extra lightstrip myself and set up something similar now that I've remembered
