Hiya
I set up my new tank on Wednesday. All good except I think some of my good bacteria from my old filter may have died in the transfer.
I've upgraded from a Fluval U2 internal to a tetratec ex1200 and I basically put all the old media in places where they seemed to fit in the tetratec.
The problem is that yesterday I had an Ammonia reading of about 1 ppm but I'm clear of Nitrite. I did a waterchange after I got the reading yesterday and today the ammonia is about 0.50 and still no Nitrite.
My question is, is this just a small spike that will be caught up again in a couple of days with water changes or did I let my media dry out and my tank is cycling all over again
?
My PH (due to the the bog wood and TMC substrate I assume) is through the floor now too, it's about 6! That's ok for most fish though isn't it?
