Hey all so I was planning on upgrading my betta to the fluval flora aquatic plant kit, but that tank has gotten a lot of bad reviews (unfortunately because i really like the look of that tank and it was perfect)...I need a little help choosing the perfect tank for my betta. Have you heard anything good about the fluval flora tank that will change my mind, or do you have any suggestions for a new tank? (And filter because I know they don't like strong currents)..

Thanks!
Meg

If you liked that sort of style tank (cube with clip on over-tank lighting sort of thing) then P@H have their own cube-style tank, though I've heard that the lighting unit isn't so great. I believe they come in two sizes, one of which is 14L (perhaps a bit on the small side IMO) which I know Ianho has (check the planted section), though I'm not sure about the other size. Alternatively I believe Aqua One have an Aqua Nano range, though I've never seen any for sale. They're in 3 sizes, 12L, 22L and 55L if I remember correctly. There is also another AquaOne that is similar in the clip on lighting, but it's not really a cube - more of a rectangle with a metal frame, and I'm not sure if it has a cover or not. I can't remember what the model is called.

If going for a different style doesn't really bother you, I rather like the AquaOne Aquastart 320 - I keep my betta in one and I find it's a fairly good little tank. There's adequate 11W lighting and the P@H version comes with an internal filter rather than an undergravel filter.

I like those tanks, and thank you for your reply, but I live in the US...If i can't find any in the US I might order from the UK if I can but it can get awefully expensive sometimes :/

The new aqueon evolve is an option. It comes in 2, 4, and 8 gallons ( I think that 8, 16, and 32 liters) they're a little pricey, but it's an option.

i got this 5 gallon, its really nice, comes with a filter, a really good one, and L.E.D lights lamp inside, its very nice, im using it for breeding, im sure u can house a betta in it, it is very nice, you can put manhy plants and roacks too, its sold at petsmart, gunna find out the name of it.

Ah, I just noticed it said your location was the US, sorry. Pets at home don't sell any the tanks I mentioned online and I'm not sure if they'd ship them anyway, so my appologies.

Can i add to this topic that depending where u live but ill state the uk rspca that aslong as an animal can rotate 360' without bending its body its a good sized tank so im sure those tank would be fine for a betta even betta boxes are fine

Granted im not to keen on them i prefer larger tanks for fish but its not against the law to use them unfortunatly :( :) a 2 gall will be ok but i would suggest getting a larger tank its just nicer but it depends on what u can afford :)

thank you for all of your replies. And Liquid Skills I'm not too worried about money as long as my betta gets a good home :good:
