i am upgrading to a 4 foot tank next week and was wondering whats the ideal way setting it up..... i have a 90L tank at the mo and am currently treating for disease 
my new tank is a secondhand tank, a fluval roma 240 with 305 external. its been unused for 3 weeks so will need re-cycling. so i have a few questions to try and help me along the way...
can i use media from current tank to help cycle even though its being treated for disease?
should i use 2 heaters instead of 1? if so what sizes?
i am going to use another external along with the 305 provided for better water quality, should i use 2 x 305's?
i will replace the pads and media in the used external but whats the best things to use in them? (i have only used standard aquaone hood filter up til now)
i was forced to do a fish in cycle due to crap info from lfs and will be doing a fishless cycle this time. where do i get pure ammonia?
i want a sand substrate, is play sand ok if washed well?
i have heard people usung uv water steralisers, are these any good/worth the money?
im going to run my current tank to house my fish that are in there already until the disease is gone so will need to keep some media etc then transfer them over when well and new tank is cycled and will keep it running to use as a quaranteen tank for new fish before adding to new tank. when fully stocked my aquaone ar620 90L with 3d background, heater etc will be up for sale if anyone is interested (im in leicester)
