New Tank

I was thinking about starting up a new tank. I have had a 46 gallon tank for about 5 years with just tropical fish such as small barbs, tetras and danios and I was interested in bigger fish. I have set up a 55 gallon tank and was going to get about 4 tinfoil barbs, 3 bala sharks, 3 silver dollars and a pangasius catfish. Is this alright ? Do they need any special requirements besides a lot of space.

A pangasius catfish will not have enough room in that setup, so s/he will have to go, as for the bala sharks, I'm not sure.
Perhaps, though, a lake Tanganyika setup is in order, I think you would like it

I already tried african cichlids and it ended up being a pain in the butt.
