New Tank

Well, im not new to the hobby, but I just got a second tank. Its a 10 gallon (i think)

The dimensions of the tank are 20x12x10 inches, I think its a 10 gallon, but if someone knows the lwh forumla or has a tank of the same dimensions, id like to know if it really is a 10 gallon.

Anyway, all I have as of now is the tank and an airpump. Ill get the filter + hood + heater + accessories soon, then I need to stock it with something...

Suggest away. Id like something basic, not too boring though, id get about 8 of them, and they have to be happy with cory and pleco in the tank. Also if they could go well with guppies and tetras thats in my other tank (just incase something happens and i need to transfer them you know)

What fish would you suggest? I dont want neons or cardinals.

Common plec needs a 55 gal tank minimum I'm afraid. He's only 2 inch just now but they can grow to 12 and they grow fast. To be honest I'd suggest a single male betta.

Yep I know them, ive had the same pleco, common, 2 inches when I bought him, hes about 4 inches now (its been about 5 or 6 months) hes in my 15 gallon... hes not growing that fast, considering i feed algae chips once a week... and he eats shrimp pellets every day. And plants.

A common plec is too big for a 15imp gallon too. What you going to do with him when he gets to 6inches?
