New Tank

hi i got a new tank it was thoroughly cleaned i added aqua clear and aqua safe but this morning i found a dead fish and the others struggling including my suckers but i put em back nto the other tank they picked up quick wot happened in other tank its got a pump heater and filter that all worked so i cahnged water 3/4 should that clear the problem

did u cycle the tank? if not that basically is where the problem lies , ammonia poisoning by the sounds of it

how big is the tank?
what fish do you have?
how long has the tank been set up?
what did you do to prepare it before adding fish?
what products, chemicals etc have you used?
do you have a test kit, if so what are the stats for pH, ammonia, nitrite and nitrate?
