New Tank

Hi Everyone,

I've not posted messages lately as I've been really busy with moving house and work.

I've decided to buy my second tank which is a Juwel Vision 180. Upgrading from a 60 litre Tetra tank.

I will be setting it up on Monday (yay day off!) and would appriciate any comments on your experiences. Or if you have polite suggestions.

First of all i am not going to use the Juwel internal filter. I already have an Eheim 2234 that i could not install on my mum's pc so i will use that.

before u add the gravel or watever ur goin to have on the bottom make sure u put just water in the tank to ensure that there r not any leaks in the tank

Hi Martyn,

I have a Vision 260, also with the internal filter removed. Great tanks. Good choice.

What are you going to stock it with? I assume you will fishless cycle?

Make sure you set it up in the place where you want it, because to move it once it's full of water is damn difficult.

Make sure your Eheim will fit in the cabinet before removing the internal. I have a Tetratec 700 and that only just fits into my Vision 180 cabinet.

Yep fishless cycle is what i'm gonna do. Did that on my last tank.

Can't wait to get it setup.

Off to world of water to get the gravel and bits n bobs. Will be setting it up tomorrow and Monday.

The Juwel Internal filter is a ***** as its stuck to the tank. Read tips on removing it so gonna be extra carefull when removing it.

I'm not sure what fish i want yet. Would like to have 2 rams again but am worried i'll get the same sex.
