I am trying to acquire a larger tank for my babies (Marble, White, and the School of Hard Knox). Once I get a larger tank is there anything I should know about setting the tank up and cautions i should take after cycling my tank for a week? I have two female blue gourami and 4 tiger barb. What other fish could I put with them?

I know I ask alot of questions. Bare with me. Im a newb lol. Im learning.

Ok. So I acquired a 30 gallon tank today. Not sure what comes with it. My aunt gave it to me for free.99 lol.
So, now you guys can get a better idea of what the new tank setup will look like.

Tiger Barbs are not easy to stock around. Unfotunately. You can certainly go for other Barbs as far as I know. For example, cherry barbs, gold barbs and odessa barbs. They are also Ok with most bottom feeders. You would do better with a couple more tigers in my opinion as in bigger groups they "tend" to just harrass each other. But be prepared to have to rehome some of them or remove them if they keep nipping. I think your gouramis may end up very prone to nipping as they are quite slow moving with flowing fins. A tiger barbs idea of heaven for nibbling on. See how things go.

:good:

thanx. the tiger barbs have onestly kept to themselves since i had them. i use 2 have 5. but as a beginner i made a mistake and didnt aclimate them properly so he kinda died ::sad face::. If the barbs get out of hand I may jus keep them in the ten gallon. Im sure they would'nt mind that. Is that fine?
