Hi Doc,
You don't seem to have cycled the tank prior to putting fish in which would account for fish dying as your basically poisoning them. You need to check with test kits for nitrate and nitrite readings, ammonia and so on. I don't know the tank you mention but if the air pump is to noisy try fitting an internal filter which would be much quieter. A tank needs to cycle for 3 weeks or so prior to putting fish in so i would suggest you look at how to do that and if you follow the advice their you will be okay.

Yeah cycle your tank there are loadsa pinned posts telling you exactly how to do it mate.

I cycled my tank for 4 days. Then i added some angels in the tank which i have goldfish fish in it. Goldfish dont need the water to be cycled. When i bought the angel they where dead in the other week. I dont know if i added salt to them, it was the fault of my lfs. i dont have accept goldfish in the tank, maybe i will bring angel again after i ahev been setting up my tank for 1 month and 14 days. So u must still cycle ur tank for a bit more of time.

You do need to cycle the tank for any fish, goldfish tend to be used to cycle the tank as they are cheap and reasonably hardy. Four days is a very short time to cycle a tank, is it heavily planted or something? im struggling to understand your post, you added the angels in the tank with the goldfish? was there a heater? what were the water readings?
Greg

yeah there was a heater. I added them after 4 days. I guess they r dead coz i added salt to the angel and i also lost a goldfish, i guess they where dead from salt. Yeah i added them after 4 days of cycling. If i bring angel fish and add them again will they be fine.

I think im right in saying that goldfish require cold water, they are more suited to pond life,as they grow very large and can withstand extremly low temperatures, however they are stressed in higher temps, what temperature where u keeping the tank at? unless im extremly wrong you will not be able to keep goldfish at te 75-82 that the angels require as it will stress the goldfish. As for salt in this tank im quite sure neither of your fish types require or benefit from any salt being added.
I cannot stress enough how important it is to read about your fish before purchase, i understand that sometimes we make impulse buys but it is our responsibilty as fish keepers to give our fish the best possible life we can. Sorry if any of my infomation is wrong although i did cross check just to make sure.

call me stupid, but what size tank is this, also is there a heater? and WHY were goldfish in with anglefish! These 2 species shouldn't be in the same tank man! aswell 4 days isn't that long for a tank cycle, I usually wait minimum 1 month (unless I'm using water from another tank or mature filter media), so what size tank are we talking about here? and salt with angles? you shouldn't have to do that at all... I know I didn't and my 4 angles have lasted fine in a 29gallon tank

I agree 100%! alot of people see fish and MUST HAVE THEM! but please do research and make sure you have the right size tank and water requirements! Also, don't add salt unless you need to, angles don't need salt nor do goldfish... aswell, get rid of the goldfish if you want more tropical fish (such as angles)
