New Tank

Hi,

I just brought a new tank from ebay and just wondered what people recommended in terms of cleaning etc before setting it up? There's no gravel and the people I brought it from said they had no problem from fish dying so is it ok to just go ahead and fill it up?

I'd probably rinse it out and clean it just to be on the safe side

yes i think just rinsing it with hot water should do the job

I would suggest filling it outdoors to check for leaks first; better being safe than sorry!

I seconded this.

I set-up a tank yesturday and found out in the morning it had leaked
