Ok, so i'm getting a new 90l tank next weekend (upgrading from 60l). I'm going to change my gravel when i change tanks (not too keen on my current gravel to 'colourful' and i want a natural look). I am also upgrading my internal filter. So the question - How do i complete a successful change over, bearing in mind the upgrade in filtration?
The new tank would be instantly cycled if i put my current filter in (am i right? lol) so how would i introduce the new filter?
Thanks

jus run the new filter alongside the new one and unless the old filter is rated enough for your new tank, dont add any new fish for a couple of weeks so the new bigger filter gets a chance to get established.

even better would be to take the filter media out the old filter and put it in the new. then your full power cycled from the start.

Thanks guys - seems obvious now
I won't be setting the new tank up for a couple of weeks, so that should be enough time to "cure" the new filter.
However my current tank - only 60 litre - will be being filtered with a power of 1100 lph will this affect the tank in anyway?
