Hi,

Juwel tanks have a floating base and so the glass itself doesn't touch the stand so no need for polystyrene

balls, just set up my new juwel with foam, got it 2nd hand tho so no instructions not to use it. ah well, sure it won't do any real harm

Definately use sand with both cories and kuhlis as gravel will be uncomfortable for both, and your plants will thank you too.

5 cories may be a bit much for a 25 gallon tank, too. But I wouldn't go less than 4, so.....I'd put 4 in there.

Ive got a Juwel Rekord 96, a bit smaller than yours. In that ive got 2 corys, 3 female bettas, a small plec & 5 small sucker loach cant remember their names!!! When you decide to upgrade the lights its quite easy to take the old unit out & fit twin power compacts.(just a tip)

Oh kool i take it youv changed the lights then i should be fine for now im gona start with only a couple of real plants and the rest plastic, but slowly phase the plasitcs out for real!
