Juwel rekord 120 101x31x46 approx 120 litres 25.5 (uk) gallons!!

I was thinking sand substraight with abit of stuff for plants underneath, gona have a mixture of fake and reel plants and fase the plasitcs out over time when i become more confident. Going with the standard Juwel lighting for now so no Co2 needed. The standerd filter comes with a 400l/ph pump, im upgrading to a 600l/ph, may add extra filter in the form of a small internal im not sure. All the usuals, bog wood, caves more bogwood. I want it to look as natruall as possable

As far as fish go i was thinking

1 x pair of Bovarian rams - 7inch
5 x corys (not sure on what kind suggestions welcome) 10-15inch
5x harliquen rasbora 5-7 inch
1x tiger plec (already got him :D or her to early to tell its only a little baby!! 1" atm and alrady a mean lean poop machine) 4 inch

Thats all i know about so far!

All ideas and critisim welcom will have pics as soon as tank is set up and ideas for fish, decor more than welcome!! :fish: :thanks:

Sounds brilliant. the corys though i would go with 5 of the same kind.

Yeah i dunno what sort, its between corys and kuhli loaches though i dont no!!

and what can i put between the tank and the stand to stop it breaking :/ ?

Do you mean a polystyrene layer to stop the glass cracking?

I would have thought the tank would have something build in to prevent damage to the glass.

My tank has a base which does this and you can place it on any cabinet/unit you want.

Yea im not sure some people say that you should put a polystirne layer between tank and stand.. i dunno!

Hiya,

I've got some Sterbai Corys (call them the 3 Amigos as they're constantly swimming around the tank together, inseparable). Also got some Davidsandi Corys (slightly larger/black & white), they also stick together - best kept in groups if poss as they like to hang out together.

Corys are a great addition to any tank in my opinion.

There have still been cases of breakages. Always use foam too even out pressure points, unless you want a wet floor!

Juwel say not to put polystyrene under their tanks. They advise you use one of their stands if not something completely flat, level and strong.

why do they advise not too use polystyrene? That doesnt make sense.

Any polystyrene will do, you can also buy foam pads designed for tanks.

The tanks have a plastic frame on the bottom of them. Fluval and Hagen tanks have the same thing and also tell you not to use polystyrene.

I wouldn't :) If anything *does* go wrong, and you used polystyrene I'm pretty sure they'd say you went against their guidelines / stipulations, so there's no comeback to them.
