New Tank.

will this work

i've had my small tanks filter running in my large tank now for 1 month and all the stats are normal in the large tank.

if I transfere the filter into the small tank and syphon off just water from the large tank will this be ok to add a fish to the smaller tank?? in other words would the small tank be cycled?? as there uisnt anything new in the tank??

i think you would have to wait alittle while but ti would be mostly done, once you added fish/amonia the bacteria should grow onto the substrate and plants etc its like a really large seed
