New Tank

i'm going round my friends to see if he has got my tank ready, i'm having his 180L off of him.
rearanged my living room yesterday so i have room for the new tank, much to my girlfriends horror although she saw it as an excuse to get me spring cleaning the place.
but i don't care cos i'm getting a new toy
shouldn't be long before i can stock it. it already has matured filter media and when i do the water change on my other tanks i will put the water in the new one.
i have spent ages planning what i am gonna do with this one.
i've been experimentingwith my photography so i'm gonna do a step by step photo diary of the set up and stocking
just had to share the excitement

Well the tank is up and running and the pics are being taken. I'm gonna wait untill it's all finished before posting them. My plants should arrive next week so I have to finish off the lighting tomorrow, everything is going well, i just have to remmeber to be patient and not get too excited

I think the being patient and not getting too excited is the hardest thing about setting up a new tank.

just seeing a tank there with nothing in is hard to deal with...

its like watching paint dry...

Don't leave it too long before stocking. If the filter is mature it'll need a source of ammonia, no fish = no ammonia, no ammonia = no bacteria.
