Hi I am in the process of starting a Jewel 400. It will have a gibcepts red, clown loach , bala sharks, golden tetra and Gouramis in it.
What plants would you start with and also do they go in before during or after the fishless cycle???
I know the gibicepts may disturb the plants but you can get some growing on wood etc etc.
If no-one wnats to state what to get etc can they recommend a book or website.
Thanks

Yes found the site that tells you what to do about waiting . So its just what will go with the fish. I might not be able to find everything.

If have have the standard Juwel lighting then stick with the classic low-light collection i.e. Anubias, Java fern, Java moss and Crypts. For better results add reflectors or better still, replace the tubes with full-spectrums. Check out the pinned lighting article for a good choice.

All the above mentioned plants attach to wood, stone or decor except Crypts that require a deep, nutrient-rich substrate.

You can plant straight away. Plant growth can actually speed up the nitrogen cycle.
