new tank what to put in it

for my birth day im gettin a new 50 g. tank. i am puting theise fish in it fro sure...
glass catfish (2)
banjo catfish (1)
Khuli loaches (2)
guppies (2 trio's)
my 4 inch pleco (1)

any other idea you got? i live very high colored fish... or really weird fish (ex. glass catfish ) and im on a budget of maybe 100$

more glass cats! you won't get the full effect unless you have about 5 of them - made that mistake and i'm thinking of giving my 2 to somebody who keeps them. they're very social and will hover together during the day. Having 2 glass cats is almost like having just 2 neons. They are also somewhat fragile and should only be added after water conditions are stable.

while banjos are very cool - u may not see them when they become adults. just something to think about while choosing fish

i'd also get 1 or 2 more kuhli's

I would suggest some color on top of this - say a colorful tetra, or a couple dwarf or honey gouramis. possibly some other livebearers - i'm fond of swordtails personally

might sound boring but cardinal & neon tetras are just so so bright & always add colour. glowlight & rummy nose & red eye tetras are also all very striking fish

White clouds are fairly small and do not require much maintenance and attention. They are available in different colors and look very cool when schooling. I, personally, have 4 orange and 4 grey clouds. My white clouds and guppy fry hang out with each other most of the time; white clouds wont eat any other species' fry.

ever heard of the fish called glow fish? no, not dyed. they were danios who had there jeens changed by feeding them some sort or corral. this makes them neon!

lol yeah that works only problem is i might go a bit higher then 50g. so i havnt bought it yet (for my b day im getting 50 but i may return and get a bigger one)

im buying this kit thing that petsmart set up its a 46g bow front so its not 50g but you know... a bioweel from pengin deul lighting 2 peices of your choise of 5 plants or 2 like man made rock things...? a heater... and a few samples (water condisioner food ect.) thats all for 170$usd!

I have a 46gal bowfront and LOVE it. The curved front really more than makes up for that measly 4 gallons you lose
