I have just put my first fish in my tank = 3 dalmation mollies , 2 sunburst platies and 3 diamond guppies . I lost one of my female mollies earlier today and the other female is looking a bit off colour , the male seems ok though . The sunburst platies seem ok but are very shy and quiet , the diamond guppies are speeding round the tank and although are the smallest are certainly the most entertaining . The fish have benn in the tank now for 48 hours and have had 1 death so far but i think the dalmation female is going too , any advice or are they just a quiet species ? i have tested water and temp and everything seems fine .

Hi and :hi: to the forum.

Thats sounds like alot of fish to add in one go which if a new set up could be a problem:/ Can you give us a few more details such as:

what is the size of the tank?

How Long has it been set up?

And what were the actual readings for Ammonia, Nitrite and nitrate? I know you have said they were fine but having the actual readings is always useful

hi tank is 24x18x12 readings for nitrite were zero , nitrate was 10mg and ph is 7.2 my kit does'nt test for amonia .

the tank has been set up for nine days now , seven to settle down with no fish then two with fish ( more like two and a half days now ) my other female dalmation mollie has died now butnow the other fish have come alive ! even the male dalmation mollie is swimming with the mad guppies now . Tank looks a lot healthier , other fish seem fine , any ideas ?
