New Tank Syndrome

what do you mean, your tetras show new tank syndrome?

the first thing to do is see if there is a new tank syndrome by testing ammonia, nitrite and nitrates.

then continue doing water changes every day

you coudl quarantine them if possible as well

Some of my tetras are showing signs of New Tank Syndrome. Is there anything I can do, apart from daily water changes???

If your water parameters are bad, you could ask in your LFS if they sell Bactinettes. This product is supposed to be live bacteria contained in dissolvable pearls which you add directly to your filter. It is supposed to populate your filter with the needed bacteria and 'alledgedly' will cycle your tank in 24 hours.

I am considering using these to setup my new tank as my LFS swares by them. Thing is, there doesn't semm to be too many people who use them and they don't seem to be widely available either.

You can read more about them here :-
