I am looking at buying a new tank (Somewhere between 4-6ft) to go into my living room and am looking for some suggestions / advice etc from the experts out there for the following queries.

1. Juwel tank (Vision 450) or custom made? - While I like the Vision 450 and the cabinet that it comes with, I was considering ading a sump tank (see later query), which would mean AFAIK that the Juwel cabinet is not ideal. All of the custom tank manufacturers I have seen so far either dont make cabinets for their tanks or those that do only seem to make cabinets that look a bit 'old fashioned' to my taste (or lack of, if you prefer!). Can anyone suggest a good tank and cabinet maufacturer that produces 'modern looking' stuff?

2. Am looking to get the best Eheim cannister for the tank to ensure that the tank is well over filtered (Unless a sump will be more than enough). I like the look of the 2078 (Pro 3e) as well as the wet/dry ones but was wondering what would actually be better rather than which one looks like it's got the best toys/gadgets on it. I would be looking to buy the filter before the tank and get it cycling on the 300l tank while the new tank is delivered to get the new tank running sooner.

3. Sump tank. I have been reading a lot about sump tanks on here for a while now and quie like the idea, but I am not sure if I am fully understanding the pros & cons. If I go for a custom built tank and cabinet with a matching sump would I actually need any additional filtration (If so, I would want to ensure that the cabinet still has space in it for the filter). I have quite a few fish that are currently growing (Plecs, silver sharks and Clown loaches mainly) which will be geting too large to all be in their current tank in a while, hence the new tank.

Thanks for any suggestions / advice in advance and sorry for such a long winded post!

3. If you use a sump, you can locate all your filtration (trickle tower, foam pads, bio media, etc) in the sump and won't need any in-tank. Depending on your livestock's flowrate and O2 requirements you might want to add an airstone in the sump or a small powerhead for the display tank, but all filtration is done through the sump. You can also put your heater down there :)
