Hi guys, new to the forum. just thought id show you my new tank!
basically, i had a tank with a red tailed shark, numerous neons, a pleco i think, a clown loach and an angelfish. im very new to this so please excuse the ignorance, but rest assured, im learning! Anyway, it was great for about a year, fish were thriving etc, well one day, i came home and one of my neons had a fungus, growing on its mouth. i followed various methods of treatment but to cut a very long story short, i lost a lot of my stock due to the stubbornness of this fungi. no medication would work and constant water changes was just stressing out the fish. it jumped from fish to fish and still to this day i wasnt able to identify what it was! well, eventually, i cleared it, and the remaining fish were healthy once more. my girlfriend was an owner of goldfish and she had a 3ft tank, that she was trying to get rid of. disheartened by my complete failure at my first attempt to keep fish, i held off taking it, but eventually, after yet more research and a keen interest, i got it. this is it now, but im hoping to add more fish too it at some point as only my swordtails and angels survived the ordeal. needless to say, i have learnt a lot of lessons and will not be repeating the same mistakes again, but what do you guys think of the new set up and any ideas on new fish to go in here??
