new tank setup

I just bought another 20 gal tank and was wondering if i could use rocks from any tank to get the Beneficial Bacteria.Does it have to be from a guppy tank if i'm putting guppies in.Or can it be from any tank?I have a tank with convicts in it could I use that for guppies. Or do I have to use from the same type of fish.

You can use either..both will have some bacteria on but the tank will probally still go through a cycle.
