My community tank's light blew a few weeks ago and the plants started dieing off soooo
I went out today and no luck with new bulbs so new tank it was, came away from pets at home with a brand spanking new aqua one horizon 50 (54L i think) Will upload pics soon.

Oh yeah the sand i used to have in my community tank stank and was going black so ive put my old gravel back in untill i sort the sand out, it looks cool lol will post pics soon.

For those "older" members the water is too cold for my fish, i have put the heater in set at 24 degrees C and put another heater in at the front set as high as it will go. How long should it take to heat up enough to put my fish back in, cos ive got about 15 fish in a breeding net in another tank.

Well, on most heater packaging it does say you sould wait around 12-24 hours. but depending on *how cold* the water actually was, it might be aroud 3-4 hours. :good:

As promised a pic :look:

its a lovely tank and i seriously hate critising ( see cant even spell it) but i hate the gravel!, a bag of play sand is only £2 and would look sooooooooooooo much nicer

im soo sorry i hate it when i hurt feelings but im always try to tell the truth regardless :/

my reasons are

* it looks very un natural to anyone looking at it
* it would look like a fair ground to any fish
sad1.gif

* a fishes colour would never be " right" with that as a substrate

and lastly i had this is in my very first tank and after id stocked it .. i was given the same info..and boy did i like the change over ;)

if you want to scream at me ..feel free

Yeah it looks gorgeous lol ive got a big chunk of lava rock in it to and managed to save 1 of my live plants :hyper: just waiting for it to warm up enough. Im out to our towns xmas market so if its still not warm enough when i get back ill add a 3rd heater on full temp lol

The filter is huge!!!! so im selling it lol

he! i have that tank......looks nice although i think you should get that sand cleaned!! any chance of a clearer picture??

Ill try to get a better pic tomorrow lol
And Im very busy at work this next few weeks so ill do it asap

What would have helped, I know it's a bit late now but, if you had made the new water up to around or just under 24c you wouldn't of had the wait for the temp to go up by heater alone.

Half the water i put in was hot  lol temp up now anyway :hyper:
