I started a 20 gallon tank with way too many fish. So I slowed down and re started the tank. It has been running for a month now and I will not get anymore new fish until next year. I have 1 Crown tail beta, 2 cory fish, 2 yellow and 1 blue snail, and one blue dano. Now I know the snails will be a problem but I am trying to keep the eggs down. I want something to take care of the glass and get along with everything else like the beta. Plus I do not want something that will be too big. It needs to do the glass more than the rock. The beta is stressed out cause he is not used to so many friends so he has alot of plants and hidding places and he is doing alot better. I was thinking mollys and some other kind of fish to add next year. I know not to get too many. I am doing 2 a month just to make sure about levels and stuff. I know I want maybe a panda cory just so I can have 3. I heard that they do very well in 3s. So I would love any ideas or comments for me. I am not used to fish but I love it and I am doing more research to better my fish. :good:

As you are already aware, corrys need to be in groups, so it is good that you are thinking about buying a third. Danios also need to be in a group, so you may also want to consider upping their numbers too. However, if any fish is responsible for the betta being stressed, it is likly the danio, due to its active nature.

Also, the blue danio is probibly geneticaly modifyed, and thus illegal to knowingly keep, sell or breed in the uk. However, I'm not aware of any restrictions in the US.

If you are in the UK, this just goes to show that research is critical before purchase. If you are baced in the UK, I surgest that you contact the relivant authorities, to repot=rt yourself and the place of purchase to them. They are yet to fine someone who has handed themselves in for this crime, but frequently fine and put out of businesses and keepers who have kept them knowingly.
