Hello,
I've got a question regarding the internal filtration system of the new 50L tank I bought recently. I've started to cycle it, but I'm wondering whether the filtration and air pump provided will be adequate. I've added my own heater to it, and the air pump and filter are built in. I don't intend to keep many fish in the aquarium, but hope to not kill a fish either. The tank is 50l and the filter system is rated 1000l/hour. Is this enough? The filter is located under the hood and water is pumped into it, an it flows back into the tank, with ripples.
I can't seem to get the bubble pump to work. Its in built as part of the filter system thing. There's an L shaped thing, on the top is supposed to be a tube to the air and the bubbles are supposed to come out the other side. I can see that its working because water comes out the other side, but not really sure what I did wrong when I set it up.
If I cant get the bubbles to come out, is the water oxygenated enough for the fish anyway? The filter is rippling the surface, and I read in the beginners resource center that I don't need a pump this way.
