Well, some of you know that I DID have 4 Silver Dollars and now only have 2......

The petstore gave me two Rainbow fish in place of my Silver Dollars (LONG STORY) so now I only have the 2 (2 dyed :-( )

Okay, my question, sort of,...........

My 55 is planted mediumly (is that a word -_- ) with fake plants due to my DARN snail problem and it's current occupants are:

2 Silver Dollars
1 Angel Fish
2 gouramis (one 3 spot and one gold)
A little pleco
3 little albino corycats

I run a Fluval 304.......seems to work very well.....and I am now trying hard to do 20% water cheange and vaccuum every week........

My question is that I would like to put my 2 rainbow fish in that tank and get 2 more as well, since they are a schooling fish. The rainbow fish do not get over 4" big....some only 3".

I don't want any suggestions on other fish.....because I DO NOT want to get anymore SDs :-( or another Angel, mine is fine by himself TRUST ME!!!!

So the tank's stocking would be:
2 SDs
1 Angel
2 gouramis
4 rainbowfish
1 pleco and 3 cories

What do you guys think?........

I'd add a few more fish.

A few more rainbows, or a school of bleeding-heart tetras maybe. :)

I love rainbows their so cute. Iv got 3 with my 2 angels, and they get on great. What kind of rainbows did you get? Iv got parkinsoni's which are a very pretty orange. Theyre colours get even better as they age. I am now just trying to decide whether to get a couple more parkinsoni's or a couple of a different type. Maybe praecox. They are adorable too. :D I would say go for either of those as they are supposed to be one of the hardier varieties.

iI dont thik you'd be over stoked. Like you said rainbows only grow 3-4 inches. Ive got 3 with 2 angels a common plec and 2 rhino plecs. Im pretty close to my limit because of my foot long plec, but seeing as you dont have any foot long fishies you should be fine.
