Hello,
Two days ago I upgraded my tank from 20L to 60L for my two goldfish. I used the right water conditioner, I had already ran the new filter in the old tank for a few weeks before putting it in the new one, and transported them over okay.

The issue is, they are at the bottom of the tank, behind the ornament. At night (when its dark and quiet) they come out. Also, i put a sheet over the tank just now and within 2minutes they started to come out an explore a little.
They are eating very well, as a always and no other signs of disease.

Are they okay? Is it just stress?

They were actually more in the sun when they were in the 20L then they are now. So it isn't that.

I am just worried :(

Running the new filter in the old tank doesn't provide the new filter with the necessary bacteria. Use the old filter media from your old filter and put it into the new filter. Do you have a testing kit? How much is the ammonia in the new tank?

What was i suppose to do? I thought running the filters at the same time was the right thing to do?
The old filter stuff is dry now.

& I don't have a testing kit..

P.S I also included like..this bacteria liquard stuff in (god my description is bad)

''bacterlife friendly bacteria'

Ah.. well actually I looked it up, running both filters IS a way to get the bacteria in the new filter. Sorry for the confusion :(

But assuming water quality is not a problem, then it's probably just stress. Wait it out a couple of days and if they are still acting the same way, I would be a little more worried. If you see them show symptoms of ammonia poisoning which are red/pink gills, difficulty breathing, red stripes appearing, torn fins, do a water change immediately.

Ive just done a 5L water change. I added the tap water safe stuff, and also the right amount of friendly bacteria. They do seem a little happier even after that.

The main thing that makes me think its stress, is how they come out when its quiet. It didn't help i found my cat at the side of the tank last night!

That's good! :good: Haha, I hope your tank has a lid!

I'm thinking there's probably some bacteria growing in your new filter, but not enough, which is why your fish are hiding and seem happier after a water change. Since you don't have a test kit (which I strongly suggest you to get, here's one that's good http://www.amazon.com/API-FRESHWATER-MASTER-TEST-KIT/dp/B000255NCI) I would suggest do maybe, bi-weekly water changes just for a few weeks. Just to be safe, you know :)

It has a decent lid, doesn't stop the cat from tapping the sides! I've told her if she carries on, she will meet the fish face to face :p

I will do another change in 3 days :) thanks!
