Hey guys,

I'm going to buy a new 55gal Tank on Thursday, Mainly becuase I have 2 Pregnant Mollies, and you know ALL about that.

So here's what I've come to. Say I set up the 55gal, and say my Mollies ahve about 10 each. (I'm sure it will be more) But lets jsut say 10 each. So that's 20 new fry. I Put the fry in the 55gal. Will they all die becuase its a new tank, that has not been "Cycled" yet.

And if it DOES need cycled, then I have to add fish to it. So then what's the point of having a "FRY Tank" if I have to keep other fish in it, to keep the cycle. The older fish would just eat my fry.

Or I could move all my fish into my 55gal, and use my 10gal for the fry tank, but the 10 gal, is still the the first stage of the cycle. So it would stop, and still, my fry would die..

SO confused...HELP

Also, Is is safe for the fry to have the "Brackish" water as well?

mollie fry will be fine in brackish water (i think) and try putting the filter from you knew tank in your established tank for 2 weeks of use some of the old filter media its called cloning and there are plenty of articles on this site about it

this is where you have multiple filters....

if your wanting to keep the 55 as simply a fry tank you simply take some of the media out of the filter in your other tank and add it to the filter in the 55 when you stock it and it "seeds the filter with bacteria,
