Hi Guys,

I'm finally going to be moving out of home and would like to get a new tank, but where I am moving to is not that big and need a solution to keeping fish. I was considering getting a hexagonal tank as could see it saving space, but I'm having trouble finding a large one. The biggest one I have found is this one http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...4350675580&rd=1 but it has intergrated filter etc and its not much bigger than the 10-11 gallon that I have. I would prefer to use my own filter etc Does anyone know if these tanks are any good? Or could someone make and other suggetions, where could I get one from.

Thanks in advance

Steph

Hey Ozziegirl,

I'd check at my lsf. Over here in Canada you can get much larger hexagonal tanks (35, 45 + gallons). Maybe you could also look at corner tanks?

good luck!

wal-martt over here has a 44 gallon hex tank with stand, canopy, filter, pretty much everything basic for 300$.

i'm sure you can find something similar in the UK

I have seen some as large as 72 gallon.

You may have to order one and pay retail; will be hard to find large hex second hand :dunno:

Thats great thanks guys, I'll go and check out the lfs I think today. Oh, I love going there, you never know what you're gonna come back with. :)

Isn't it like that for everyone? -_- Rows and rows of stuff just waiting to be bought. :fun:  That's why I try to keep visits to the lfs as infrequent as possible...

i try and try to not go...... but i still make the 30min drive 3 times a week......

the trick is to leave your wallet/purse/moneyclip @ home :D

Hi Ozziegirl

I notice that you`re based in the midlands - I`m in Nottingham - there is a club based in Nottingham (Robin Hood Aquarist Society) it`s supposed to be a very good one (I`ve not managed to get to one of their meetings yet but it`s on the agenda) - I understand they have a "fish auction" every so often - I wonder if they also do second hand equipment.

e-mail me for the contact details as I`m not sure if the chairman would like his number posted all over the web.

Phil
