New Tank Looking Cloudy

i just changed over to my new 4ft tank yesterday,put in new sand and gave it a good clean,but the water still looks a bit cloudy,will it take a few days to settle? was thinking of buying some seachem purigen to see if that would help.the flow rate of the water is ok,so i know thats not stirring anything up.

I'd do a big water change, like 90%. All that cloudy stuff is light particles which will only get stirred up again during water changes and whatever, so you're better off getting it out now tbh.

Always rinse sand and gravel through at least twice after you think it's already done!

think i'll do 100l at a time,wife will kill me if i start emptying it again,the thought of all those buckets!!!

If you rinsed the sand well before you put it in there, it will probably settle down quite a bit in the next several hours. I rinsed my sand a lot and it was still cloudy for about half a day but then cleared up fairly well.
