New Tank Help

I'm gettin a new tank soon, but it needs to go in place of where my tank is now so i need to do a straight swap and can't really wait for the tank to go through a cycle. Would transferrin the filter in the tank i have now to the new one be enough to prevent a completely new cycle?
I dont want to transfer the water as my guppies all died from some disease in this tank, and don't wanna risk puttin that water in a new tank. None of my other fish were effected by watever killed the guppies.

But again would the filter be enough to transfer?

not sure if i covered everythin there, but just ask if ive left anythin out

you can set up a new tank and transfer the filter across after the new tank water is free of chlorine. However, if you transfer the filter across, you will also transfer any diseases across.

thats a very good point and i hadnt actually thought of that.
the disease only effected the guppys so just wont be gettin any of them from now on so.
