New Tank Help Please

I am going to buy 5-10 Demasoni Cichlids tomorrow and might be buying a 30 gal for just them. If i do i have a fully cycled ten gal and am wondering how i could make it so i wouldn't have to cycle the 30 gallon

look for white cloud mountain minnows.

there not the most exciting things in the world but great to start of with

they adapt well to the PH and they can go up to 4weeks without food!

A 3ft (or 4ft) 40gal is really the minimum for P.demasoni, they should also be kept in groups of 12+ due to their high conspecific aggression.

To speed up the cycle on your 30gal you can get the filter for it now and run it on your 10gal alongside it's filter. In 3-4 weeks you can move it to your new tank, that would greatly reduce the time for a fishless cycle. Adding the minnows wouldn't avoid a cycle as then you would be doing a fish-in cycle, a longer and much more labor intensive process.
