Hello everyone, I haven't been on for a while, my PC has been at PC world getting fixed.

Anyway, I've managed to talk my boss into paying for a fish tank at work to brighten up our office. It has to be pretty small, we're talking 2 foot tops. Any suggesstions on what to put in it, I'm looking for something a bit different.

Any ideas?

Hi Crookster :)

It's good to see you posting again!

I think you will have fun setting up an office tank. Are you thinking of a small community in a planted tank, or something else?

Yup, I wanted to go for a 'miniture world' if that's the right way to put it. Something that looks in proportion.

I have big fish at home and love them to bits, but I always like looking at a really small setup when I visist my lfs.

Something pretty green probabbly, but that depends on if I can get a tank with hood an light within my budget. I have £80 to spend.

I vote a school of cories, a school of rummy nose tetras, and a school of hatchet fish. I think that'd be a nice little small tank with a lot of plants (probably want some easy ones like java fern so matentience would be at a minimum.)

Go with a heavily planted tank with an earth-tone or dark substrate. It may look like any ordinary, but beautiful lush, green aquatic plant aquarium. Add maybe 5 or 6 neon tetras or pencilfish for a "hint of life".
