Hi all,

Back again for more advice! ... having temporarily stabalised my 70 liter tank with the addition of a fluval +2 to back up the inbuilt Jewel filtration, i went tank shopping this weekend....
drove 200+ miles searching out bargains, unlike last time when i went into a shop and bought the biggest Jewel i could afford......turns out I could have afforded a whole lot more if I'd shopped around but that'll teach me!
Anyway, the choice comes down to 2 EL Aquatics tanks, a 170L (45 US GAL) bow fronted or a 200L (53 US GAL)
straight fronted. Both with external EHeim 2213 filters The 200L is cheaper but to be honest, the price difference isn't much....10% or so.
I intend to transfer my Female Blue Ram, Male Gold Ram and 2 juvelile marble Angels to this tank and . It'll be haevily planted, gravel & Bogwood with a CO2 system.
I'd prefer the bow fronted tank for looks alone but I think i'll go with the straight fronted one as the extra 30L is more important, i guess.

How does this sound as a set up? Will the filtration be adequate or should a plan to add the Fluval +2 from my 70L once i've moved some fish out of it?

Thanks in advance for any advice,

Andy

great choises! i would personaly go with the 200l straight tank, purely because its bigger and easier to clean. the filtration ur getting with that tank will be adaquate. so i wouldn't bother putting in the fluval +2 (im not a great fan of the new fluval range the filtration is quite poor, but thats just my apion) anyway gd luck with setup! sounds great

Thanks leroy......I was fairly sure either would have been good but there's no harm in askin' .....Just rang the shop to reserve the 200 and it's gone (damn) No more in 'till xmas so i'll be picking up the 170L at the weekend as i need to solve my overstocking problem rapidly.....i don't think the little swimmers will survive until xmas...... I can always get a 200L next...........
