New Tank Fish

Hey, I'm going to be setting up a 10 gallon freshwater tank (a livebearer-designated tank) soon. What are some hardy fish i could put in there first (that get along with livebearers) to mature it before putting any of the fragile fish in?

Platies are really hardy and great for the start of the tank and they are also live-bearers so it will keepin with theme of your tank.

Platties are pretty hardy. I had a group of them. The only thing I didnt like about them was that they kept reproducing and reproducing, it was crazy. I also had some guppies in with them.

Do you mean you want fish to 'mature' the tank or 'cycle' the tank ?.

Platies are really easy to sex, if you are unsure just ask your LFS for all males or all females.
