New Tank Cloudy

hi i set up my brand new 64 litre fish tank box 2 days ago ready for breeding i used sand and i washed the sand throughly before use but the tank is slightly cloudy it is very slightly but you can tell i have not yet added fish but can i have some addvice

are you cycling it. before putting fish in it needs to cycle for a month. the cloudiness always is there when you start a tank but if you let it cycle with no fish it should go away eventually.

A slightly cloudy tank is quite normal for new set ups and is nothing to worry about right now.

Can I recommend you do a proper fishless cycle (unless you already have other, mature tanks you can borrow some filter media from)?

. Firstly, did you cycle? If not here is the link for the fishless cycle which is the best way http/www.fishforums.net/index.php?/topic/113861-fishless-cycling/]. Its normal to have cloudy water after you add sand. Just wait a few days .

hey the tank has been set up for 3 days i used 20 percent of my established aquarium and put it in the new tank did i do right also i added 3 sunset platys tonight to cycle it with the hardy fish
