hi, i'm currently cycling a new tank...but i have 1 small problem. The heater won't stay stuck to the side of the tank. I've tried pressing the plastic suckers as hard as i can...i've even tried wiping them...all to no avail! Should i have stuck the heater on before I put the water in? Or should it stay stuck regardless?

any ideas would be welcomed!

That's kind of odd, there must be something wrong with the plastic suckers. Is your heater/plastic sucker old? because after a couple of years the plastic suckers get weak and start to not hold, If you can't get it to stick just go to your LFS and buy a new one, they don't cost much.

they are brand new and came with the heater.

I've found that sometimes brand new suckers are stiff and too curved, if that makes sense. So they kinda spring off. I solved it by sitting with the sucker cups whilst watching TV one night, forced them back and forth to loosen them up. Worked fine after that.

Or you could buy new ones :)
