New Tank Advice

hey guys, i recieved a text last night off a good friend of mine who lives in Wales, and he's offered me his Juwel Vision 180 with heater, pump, lighting, two filters, and possibly some other stuff (i managed to delete the text). He wants £300 for it, and says he'll drive to mine (he lives in wales, i live in S####horpe (Humberside)) to drop it off. Like i said he's a good friend, and i know that the tank etc will be in immaculate condition. Do you guys think this is a good deal?

The tank seems to average about £250 on most online stores but that's excluding cabinet. Google the tank and get a better idea of prices to see if you are getting a good deal or not.

Yeah i googled it and found them for around £330 with cabinet. So is £300 for a second hand tank a good deal? (bearing in mind he'll be doing a fair few miles of traveling to deli ver it). I just dont particularly know if tanks really depreciate much

Hi there, I don't think that this is a good deal at all. I know that you can pick up Juwel Rio 180 with cabinet for approx. £100,so I can't imagine that you'd pay £200 more for a curve in the glass.

i only paid £289 for cabinet and tank. was on an internet deal, but then ive been into pets at home and it was around the same price for both. Have a snoop around the net

Thats around the cheapest i can find for the tank online. Iv just spoken to him and its for the stand, tank, two filters (Fluval 4 Plus & he cant remember what the other is), heater, and lighting (plus random extras, test strips etc). I've made him an offer of 250. If he accepts, hopefully i should have some pictures of a new tank for you all.
