New Swordtail Moldy? Finn Please Help!

ok i got 4 new swordtails last friday. the one in question looked a little down since i put it in my tank but now his left fin looks like its gone moldy. its a small white ball with little fuzzy bits coming off it. its been there since last night. he seems to still be able to swim etc ok but was wondering what i could do.

there were on the non filter side of a sectioner in a 23g tank but some of the plants went moldy on top and the water went almost oily on the top could this be the cause??

also i have been treating the tank for whitespot as i saw some signs on a few other fish in the shop so thought this would be a good plan.

any help please??

im going to do a 50% water change on the tank then test it.

since i have taken the sectioner out of the tank he is now sat on the bottom of the tank gasping for air. any ideas pleasE?

Have you increased aeration with the meds in the tank.

Its not sounding good.
Fuzzy balls on fins can be bacterial finrot.

Keep the whitespot med in then if some other fish have whitespot.

my fish dont have whitespot but the shop i got them from one or 2 did. there bubble stone has always been on full they have more than enough in there with lots of real plants too. ill go to the fish shop in about a hour and see what they have to say. all reading are normal.

Remove the whitespot med with black carbon and water changes.
Then add myxazin by waterlife and pimafix.
The fish might not make it if I'm honest.

i would prefer not to stop the whitespot treatment with the fear of loosing my other fish. they only have one more lot of treatment to be done tommorow. is it not possible to use the other treatment at the same time?

No. You can't mix meds.

You can use pimafix with parasite meds.

i do not have any carbon if i stop using the whitespot treatment. and use what i just bought interpet anti fungus and finrot treated can i start using that straight away??

No you can use the interpet med till the whitespot med is out of the tank.
You will need to buy some black carbon to get the whitespot med out of the tank.
