New Stem Plants+new Lights

i brought a bunch of red stem plants the other week, i quite like them but i guess my lighting isnt powerful enough to help them keep their red pigment, because the growth tips are coming out green and they have been growing very slowly. i got 2 new bulbs for my tank today, and just over an 8-9 hour lighting period there has been about an inch growth, i was so excited when i came home from work and seen lol i guess thats what was stopping my plants from growing much, because since the new bulbs were put in i can see how its affected the growth straight the way

Are you dosing anything? Just wondered in case you upped your light enough to need too?

i have just a cheap multipurpose fertiliser that i dose weekly , although the new lighting and the dirt substrate seem to be doing a good enough job for me
